Thomas with Irish farmers journal has visited Japan, covering agricultural policies and food market situation. Today he interviewed officials at the ALIC, a public corporation associate with the MAFF of Japan, and I was a poor translator. It was so complicated topics he asked that even in Japanese I could have not explained well.
One thing I was interested in was that Ireland is the only country to be able to compete with NZ in the dairy market, because its milking cows eat only glass like NZ.
This photo was take in front of the Tokyo Tower.
He left for his country at the night. Actually he is French. His wife is from Ireland. It was also interesting that he worked as a corespondent of BBC news in Congo for years. He speaks both English and French.
Oh, he interviewed me for the webcast of the Farmers Journal. It will be available next week.
He gave me an Easter Egg chocolate and a small bottle of Irish Whiskey. Have a nice trip home!
