消える日本版SOPEXA構想....

The Japanese version of SOPEXA, a phrase which has been used repeatedly by LDP and the ministry of agriculture will be phased out. Pressed by LDP, the ministry has mobilized every possible policy to boost Japan's food from rice to apples. One of measures taken by the ministry is to set up a new organization called "The Japanese version of SOPEXA."SOPEXA was established a public PR organization by the ministry of agriculture of France in 1961 to enhance its food export, when they were suffering in a sea of wine and a mountain of butter. But it was privatized in 2008, then the company changed its mission from focusing on just French food to helping any food of any countries all over the world in 2011.So, it is not so nice to establish “the Japanese version of SOPEXA” to beef up only export from Japan. 　自民党や農水省がここ数年盛んに言ってきた「日本版SOPEXA」。日本産の食品輸出振興には自国産に特化した組織が必要というものだが、本家本元は数年前から自国産への特化を止めていたのだ。という記事を書いた。

　今年になっても同省の資料などにはSOPEX（フランス食料振興会）といういう名前が登場するが、SOPEXAジャポンに聞くと、数年前から「フランス食品振興会」という名前は使っていない。どうも正式には2007年に使用を止めたらしい。昔の資料を引っ張り出してきて、よく調べもしないで使ってきたのだろう。私が記事を書いた日本農業新聞や他のメディアでも従来から日本版SOPEXAという表現をしていたので、広く普及していたようだ。

　たしかに調べると、SOPEXAジャポンのfacebookには「フランス食品振興会」という言葉が載っている（2月11日現在）。同社によると、単純な変更のミスらしいが、同社自身も積極的に訂正してこなかった節がある。

　農水省の担当課長に話を聞いたら、「おっしゃるとおり日本版SOPEXAというのは誤解を招くので、少しずつ使わないようにしている」そうだ。で、日本版SOPEXAは消える運命にあるのだ。

おっと、記事の中でソフェクサと表記してあるけれど、これは厳密に言うと、誤解を招く。自民党あたりでは「日本版ソフェクサ」と表現されてきたけれど、本家のSOPEXAに聞くと、ソペクサが正しい。で、これからは日本農業新聞と僕はソフェクサという表現は使わないようにする。（2月13日）
