In this story dated March 15 2016, I reported there is a strong probability that the Japanese government had made a promise to open up every single farm item virtually in the agreement of the Trans Pacific Partnership, or TPP, negotiations signed by 12 countries one month ago.

The MAFF denied it, and JA Zenchu sent a fax mail to all the JA offices in Japan that "we don't involved with the story."

But few weeks later, the MAFF virtually admitted that it was true.

I really appreciate that the newspaper dared to carry the story.
