Shopping at a dept store in dhaka

The first going out from the hotel since my arrival at Dhaka last Saturday afternoon. I bought a real leather backpack at 3300 taka, equivalent of around 35 dollars at one of the shops in the Department store at downtown of the city, where only rich and tourist visit. Actually this is the second time for me to visit here. The last time was 5 years ago, when I was invited by IFAD to do some workshop business.

More people have mobile phones, and cars on the crowded roads are apparently looking better than before. Still many poor people and young boys and girls begging something for people on the road.
